Our landlord property Insurance service assists landlords with securing insurance cover for their investment.
Insurance is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) but our governing body, the RICS has an agreement (referred to as a Designated Professional Body) with the FCA to allow Surveyors to carry out certain duties. Simplistically it means we can assist you to ensure you have the best insurance policy and premium for your property.
We have a small panel of trusted and well known Insurance Brokers. For a new property insurance or a renewal of an existing Insurance premium the policy schedule will be checked and referred to the client to ensure that the Insurance Policy is as required, the broker will then search the marketplace for the best rates available and present their findings and recommendations to us. We will then pass on this information to the client, take instructions and instruct the broker accordingly.
In the majority of cases, the tenant is obliged to reimburse the landlord the cost of the premium. We will invoice the tenant or tenants and recover the monies. The tenant will receive a copy of the policy and premium and can, if they wish, see all the recommendations and findings from the brokers to give them peace of mind they have the best rate available.
